To hear it, you might think you just stepped into Motown. To breathe it, you smell a tropical breeze caressing a sandy beach. To feel it, you let the rhythm grasp your body and whirl it into motion. To see it, is like an extravaganza of light and energy. But to experience it, you must say it....."I want THE TAMS !"

THE TAMS are one of America's all-time favorite recording acts. World renown for their special blend of music that makes up the "Beach Music" sound, THE TAMS entertain crowds around the globe nearly 300 days per year ! Probably best known for their1968 gold hit 'Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy', THE TAMS are celebrating the recent success of their newest single, 'Ain't Nothing Like Shagging', which reached the #8 position on the European charts !

The group began performing in local taverns and nightclubs for wages of $1.25 each. To them this was money from heaven ! Imagine getting paid to sing ! Initial pay of these early days only provided enough money to buy matching multi-colored TAMS to wear as stage attire. Patrons of the local night spots nicknamed them THE TAMS, a name that would eventually be known around the world.

In 1962, Bill Lowery agreed to cut one demo single on the group. To his surprise, the record gained much regional success, allowing him to negotiate a major recording contract with ABC records. Their first album on the ABC label, "Presenting the TAMS", produced a number one record, "What Kind of Fool (Do You Think I Am)". This propelled THE TAMS into professional status and national popularity. They soon found themselves playing to sold out auditoriums from The Howard Theatre in Washington D.C. to the famed Apollo Theatre in New York City.

A string of hits followed, including "You Lied To Your Daddy", Hey Girl (Don't Bother Me)", "I've Been Hurt", "It's Better To Have Loved A Little" and "Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy". During this time, THE TAMS developed a spectacular revue touring with their own 14 karat Gold Band.

After years of appearances and 10 albums, THE TAMS have been honored with two Gold Records. In 1986, the group received the coveted award and title, "Beach Band of the Decade" at The Beach Music Awards. In 1988, THE TAMS were spotlighted as the Outstanding Black Musical Group by the Atlanta Black History Awards. In 1992, THE TAMS were inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.

THE TAMS are a group that has bridged the generations of music. Their unique sound spans all ages, styles and regions. They are classic with an exhilarating stage show. Charles Pope original member, brother to the late Joe Pope, Lil' Redd has been with The Tams for 22 years, since he was 7 years old and Joe Jones has been a member for 25 years. They are the BEACH; they are good times; they are timeless; they are simply rock and roll at its finest.

They are THE TAMS ! Experience them.

How does a band endure generation after generation? The Swingin' Medallions signature high energy, party style continues to delight audiences of all ages. Their act, as well as their music, is indeed timeless. The group was founded in 1962 by John McElrath and now includes his two sons. Featuring the ever-popular horn section, the group effectively blends the sounds and music of yesterday and today. Their diverse repertoire has made them overwhelming favorites with college audiences as well as the more mature rock and rollers.

The band has performed throughout the nation in thousands of venues. In 2003, they were chosen to headline the Inaugural Party for the Governor of South Carolina. They were selected as the headline act for the 2004 Gator Bowl halftime show. In addition, the band hosts a cruise each year for its fans. In 2003, they combined their cruise with the Coors Sterling Marlin Cruise. Last year some 450 people sailed the Caribbean to the sounds of the Medallions each night.

The band was made famous by its 1966 single, "Double Shot of My Baby's Love". It remains the signature song of the band to this day. The song, in fact, continues to demonstrate its own timeless quality on radio, television and in motion pictures. The cast of the hit television series Aly McBeal sang along with the original recording in a 1998 episode. In 1999, it was again featured in the NBC miniseries, The 60's. Most recently it was used in the NBC series, American Dreams. Bruce Springsteen labeled it "The greatest fraternity rock song of all time" and includes it in many of his concerts.

In June of 2001 Chicago Tribune nationally syndicated columnist Bob Greene wrote an article entitled The Swingin' Medallion View of U.S. History. He pretty much summed up America's love affair with "Double Shot" with his discovery of the song being played and sold in the gift shop of the Smithsonian Institute. When inquiring as to why it was available in the nation's foremost repository of history, the clerk replied, "Because it's as much a part of our history as anything else we sell".

On October 6, 2005, The Medallions were on the FOX 5 Atlanta Television show, "Good Day Atlanta" and played "Double Shot" live to an audience of over 400,000.

"Double Shot" was followed in 1969 with the release of "Hey, Hey Baby", the song featured at the 2004 Gator Bowl. Although membership in the band continues to change over the years, the popularity of their live performances has not. Lewis Grizzard (Southern humorist and writer) labeled the Medallions as "THE PARTY BAND OF THE SOUTH", a moniker that has become forever synonymous with the Medallion name. In 1993 Grizzard wrote in a nationally syndicated column, "Even today, when I hear "Double Shot of My Baby's Love", it makes me want to stand outside in the hot sun with a milkshake cup full of beer in one hand and a slightly drenched coed in the other".

Enthusiastic, Reckless, Stormy, Rock %26 Roll in its natural state... This explains why the Kansas City Star Pronounced Jason D. Williams as "the past and future of rock %26 roll." The Beacon Journal dubbed him as "The worlds greats piano player." Most importantly this reminds you of why you got into rock %26 roll in the first place, to get a little wild.

After seeing a live show there will be no doubt why fans and critics alike agree with that summation of the dynamic piano player from Memphis. Jason D. has the same musical innovation and on the edge attitude as Jerry Lee and Elvis.

Jason's' style is difficult to describe. From Classical to Rockabilly to County to Jazz and on to Rock %26 Roll, Jason D. adapts to each different concert setting he performs.

Television cameras love Jason's energy and style. He has appeared on such shows as MTV's News at Night, MTV The Week in Rock, Pat Sajak Show, LIVE! on ABC, Regis and Kathie Lee Show, VH1, VH1's This is Country, Crook %26 Chase, Nashville Now, Music City Tonight, Entertainment Tonight, that's just to name a few.

Jason is on the road over 200 days a year playing to crowds in every setting, from clubs to amphitheaters and many corporate sponsored events. Jason D. is unique, talented and full of raw energy. This is one act you have to see and hear to believe.
