Jazz Orchestra, Jazz Quartet, Jazz Quintet, Jazz Sextet

The Equinox Jazz Orchestra is one of the south's premier big band jazz ensembles. Boasting 20 members, Equinox performs music from the styles of Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Harry Connick, Jr., Brian Setzer, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, and Woody Herman. For more progressive large ensemble jazz music, EXO performs hits from Chick Corea, Buddy Rich, and Maynard Ferguson.

Equinox is tailor made for concerts, dances, parties, and both formal and informal affairs. To complement such a large group of musicians, EXO draws on talent from all over the area, including university professors and students, as well as freelance musicians.

Equinox Jazz ensembles explore the different styles of jazz, from "cool jazz" to "bebop." Equinox Jazz is featured weekly in different venues around the area. Wedding receptions, parties, banquets, political functions, and such gatherings have kept Equinox busy over the past several months.
